Pastor Jean Marc's Visit to SVSU

A lot has been happening over the past few weeks!

Pastor Jean Marc from Gabon came to visit the States and he was able to come to Saginaw Valley State University and speak for Project Sunset night! The night was hosted by National Society of Leadership and Success who are raising money and awareness for Project Sunset this year on campus!

The night was a huge success. 60-70 people attended and learned about Project Sunset and what we are doing to fight malaria. In one week Saginaw Valley raised money to send 70 nets to Gabon and they are still in the process of raising more!

Pastor Jean Marc was able to speak about several of the current ministries and future ministries in Gabon and explain how Project Sunset works through the Mobile Medical Clinics to distribute the nets. After he spoke we had four stations that students rotated through. One station was Q&A with Jean Marc and the students loved that station! When it was time to rotate it was always hard to get the students to leave the table with Jean Marc and head to the next one. The students really enjoyed learning from his perspective, and he is a GREAT teacher! We are very thankful for the opportunity to have had him here with us!

We had a mosquito net on display so students could see what their donations buy.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this night a huge success!
